Over the years, Bomber evolved from a small binding manufacturer into the largest U.S. supplier of alpine snowboard gear, producing multiple generations of Trench Digger bindings (including the TD3 in four configurations) and accessories such as BTS, Fin-Tec Heels, Boiler Plate, and the Bomber Power Plate for soft boots. The company also distributed premium boards from brands like Donek, Kessler, Oxess, Coiler, and Swoard, and sold Deeluxe hard boots.
In 2015, Bomber was acquired by Jim and Angie Callen, both long-time hardbooters. They relocated headquarters from Silverthorne to Basalt, Colorado, just outside Aspen, aiming to position the Roaring Fork Valley as a hub for carving snowboarding. The Callens integrated Bomber’s operations, with Jim as COO and Angie as CEO/CFO, while continuing to promote the sport through events and community engagement.
Today, Bomber Outfitters remains a full-service home for alpine snowboarders worldwide, combining manufacturing, retail, and community-building, and is recognized as a leading force in the hardboot snowboarding industry.
